Biography
I am among that very blessed group of people who "grew up among worlds". If you want to know who we are read "The Third Culture Kid Experience: Growing Up Among Worlds" by David C. Pollock and Ruth E. Van Reken.
I was born in Minnesota, but celebrated my first birthday in Jakarta, Indonesia. I spent the next eighteen and a half years in Kalimantan Barat (which is the western quarter of the Indonesian portion of Borneo). I returned to the United States in May of 1995 and have spent a majority of the last eight years in Minnesota.
Growing up among worlds can also apply to the Christian life for as Christians we are "strangers and exiles on the earth" Hebrew 11:13c. While the above is interesting, this is vitally important and hopefully influences all I write.
